OVERCOMING DOUBT

HI!

So I'm sitting here, on day 313/2632, thinking.

I'm thinking about...self doubts...

Self-doubt can manifest itself in different ways and, if we're honest, pretty much everybody encounters. There are a few things that I do to mitigate the anxiety that normally comes with these self-doubts. The particular challenges I'm facing are questions of:

1. IF I'm going to be successful as a kettlebell instructor/general fitness dude

2. IF I'm going to pass my RKC test in September

3. HOW I'm going to produce a service that's good enough to purchase.

How do I overcome these doubts, challenges, obstacles?

EVERY DAY...I do something that is productive and that will lead towards overcoming my obstacles

1. EVERY DAY I work on form, technique, conditioning, and overall fitness with kettlebells. I play around with different weights, training programs, modifications, and technologies that will force me to become better at my craft. I take notes as to what works for my body type, what I had problems with, reps until failure. etc. I'm working on converting my mental checklist into a physical list for clients to scroll through, in hopes that it will help them with technique, motivation, and goal-setting.

I remind myself that CONSISTENCY is key to becoming successful at something. If I work on these every day and build upon past successes, I will only get better. I don't dwell on my relative inexperience with the instrument or training because I know that my WILL TO SUCCEED, my desire to grow, and my overall MINDSET will allow me to overcome my obstacles.

2. Passing the RKC test in September is going to be difficult, to say the least. This is a rigorous physical challenge that will push me to limits that I cannot CURRENTLY overcome. The good thing for me is that I have two months to get my technique down, develop a strategy for success, and to pass this test (100 Kettlebell snatches in 5 minutes)

I know that I have what it takes to kick that "IF" in the ass and turn that statement into "I'm going to pass my RKC test in September"

3. Along with all of the physical training I've been hammering out, I've also been reading quite a bit. I've read everything from autobiographies, to online marketing, to the nitty-gritty details associated with social media campaigns. The truth is, I'm a novice at this...BUT if I tackle this challenge with grit, determination, and intelligence, I will succeed.

Every social media post I put out there, every piece of feedback I get from friends that try my workouts, every new workout I do and take note of...is information. So what if right now I don't have a strong instagram or facebook following? I KNOW for a fact that a consistently positive message and future workout programs, techniques, and mindset will work.

You see, the great thing about all of the doubts I am facing is that I can always look and find a solution. It's a mindset thing. I ground myself in persistence, consistency, and my belief that everything I do will lead to the improvement of someone's life. To me, that's enough to overcome any obstacle.

till next time
